'There’s something about artists being driven to pursue something until they think it’s right.'
Roanne preaches the 'small is beautiful' gospel.
She leads on developing the artistic programme at PAL Labs, a lab-based organisation that develops new work through collaborative, interdisciplinary processes.
I was the founding Director of the Jerwood Charitable Foundation and she has been the Chair of Battersea Arts Centre, Vice Chair of Scottish Ballet, and on the boards of Young Vic, Fuel, International Futures Forum, and Make Works.
Roanne is particularly interested in celebrating and valuing the multiple intelligences that people work with to respond to our complex environment.
She also runs an annual international conference to celebrate and support micro-enterprises: Small is Beautiful.
