Kathleen is the main organising force behind both The Food Assembly and Incredible Edible Southwark.
After hearing about the original Incredible Edible in Todmorden around 4 years ago, Kathleen felt a desire to connect with local people and form cohesive grass roots movement feeling that food is a connective issue.
She began by creating a community garden with consultation with the local residents and this volunteer work led to creating a course on food-growing, which Kathleen says showed her the potential in food for connections and increasing skills for feeding our families, home growing, creativity and entrepreneurship.
